This challenge is being run in collaboration with Harvey AI, and would be particularly suitable for highlighting how legal AI can support litigation strategy while keeping lawyers in control of legal judgement.

Specific legal AI activities to highlight could include:

Pleading and proposition extraction, where AI identifies the key allegations, denials and issues from pleadings.
Evidence classification, where AI categorises documents or extracts as supportive, adverse, neutral or missing in relation to each proposition.
Source-grounded reasoning, where the tool links outputs back to the underlying document extracts so lawyers can verify the analysis.
Contradiction and gap detection, where AI identifies inconsistencies between the pleaded case and the evidence.
Human-in-the-loop legal review, where the AI assists with organisation and risk-spotting, but final judgement remains with the lawyer.
Case theory stress-testing, where AI helps identify weak or unsupported propositions before they become a problem in litigation strategy.
