Momen is a full‑stack no‑code platform for building real software products. It provides four core building blocks: (1) databases, (2) APIs and business logic, (3) AI agents, and (4) permissions and payments. You assemble these visually—without hand‑coding a traditional backend—so your team can go from idea to a working hackathon-ready product quickly (even without a dedicated 10x engineer).
Momen is not a vibe-coding tool: it is closer to visual programming, with a drag-and-drop UI (Figma-style) on top of a no-code backend that gives you full control and is built for real iteration.
Momen was started by a group of engineers in 2019, frustrated by how much repetitive work goes into basic data operations, API integrations, and styling. It began as a no-code mini-program builder, grew to over 130,000 users and 3,000 projects within two years, expanded to the web in 2022, and is backed by Sequoia Capital, Linear Capital, and MiraclePlus.
Yaokai Jiang, Founder & CEO. Yaokai founded Momen and leads it today. He holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and a Master's in Large-Scale Information Systems Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, and was previously a backend engineer at Medallia Inc. He will be on-site at the hackathon as a mentor and judge, and you can talk to him directly.

Most teams use Momen as the backend and pair it with a separate frontend, but it can do both. Two common setups:
Momen as backend + external frontend (most common). Momen handles data, logic, AI agents, permissions, and payments, while a tool like Lovable handles the interface. This is the fastest path for most teams: you get a real backend without setup overhead and a polished UI on top.
Useful in combination with: Lovable, Claude Code.
Momen as a full-stack tool. Build both backend and frontend inside Momen with drag-and-drop UI. Powerful and self-contained, though UI building can take longer under time pressure (a UI copilot is in active development). Best for simpler demos.
Useful in combination with: Cellar API, Neo4j, NVIDIA / Nemotron, Perplexity (all as data and model sources).
Where it fits in the wider stack:
A real product around your data and models. If your team is doing the heavy work in retrieval and reasoning, Momen turns that into an app users can actually click through, with login, roles, and payments if the demo needs them.
Useful in combination with: Neo4j, Cellar API, NVIDIA / Nemotron, Perplexity.
Built-in hosting. Credits cover both building and hosting, so your MVP is a live, public URL ready for judging, which hackathon submissions usually require. No separate deploy step.
Useful in combination with: GCP (if you need extra services).
