This workshop introduces builders to product thinking in law. It helps participants identify and understand client pain points, distinguish high‑value “core” work from automatable “chore” work, values & process for high quality UX design and design simple experiments to test AI-enabled products. The workshop helps participants iteratively refine the value of their product and their target audience.

I trained and worked as a lawyer at Hogan Lovells, and then moved into building products directly with leading global law firms. The biggest lesson was simple. The constraint isn’t the technology. It’s how decisions get made and how delivery is structured around them. That’s what I focus on now.
At Purple, we work with law firms to fix how innovation actually gets delivered in practice. Not more ideas. Not more tools. But the systems, structures and workflows that turn both into something real.
This typically means identifying where AI can genuinely change how work gets done, structuring decisions so things actually move forward, designing workflows that lawyers will use rather than ignore, and turning early ideas into products that can scale or go to market.
