About the Session

This talk marks two decades of CodeX, Stanford’s hub for legal informatics. What began as a small workshop exploring how technology could improve legal systems has grown into a global community shaping the future of law.

From early efforts in computational law to today’s interdisciplinary research and startup ecosystem, CodeX has played a defining role in the evolution of legal technology. Along the way, it has helped launch companies, connect academia and industry, and train a new generation of legal engineers and thinkers.

In this session, we’ll look at where CodeX has been, where its research and community are focused now, and what’s ahead.
